    Albino Project Questions

    Hello everyone!

Just had a few quick questions regarding an albino project (my first project) and looking for some advice/opinions.

I currently have an 11 female spider 100% het albino. I am thinking of getting an 11 female pinstripe 100% het albino as well so that they can grow together and then in a year or so look at an albino male to pair them with. Would this be a good progression order or would you recommend something else?

I was interested in looking into an albino pinstripe male for the possible offspring with my current female in the future however the prices seem a bit steep when I could get both the pinstripe het albino female and albino male for around half of the price of the albino pin male :p.

Also I am currently looking at this female for the pin het albino:

Does anyone have any experience with Outback Reptiles or heard anything good/bad? Sorry still very new and do not know all of the breeders yet xD. Also concerning that female what do you guys think? Is she a pretty good example of the morph? Is her price fair?

    Thanks in advance .

    - Christian

I personally have not dealt with them, but the reveiws i have heard and seen have been poor. If you go to the Inquiries/Feedback section, im pretty sure you could find some recent threads on them. I would stay away just from hearing other peoples problems with them. Sick Animals is the big problem that i have encountered.

Agreed, I haven't dealt with them personally, but have read horror stories about that company, and have avoided them 100% as a result.

If you like the snake i would just email them and make sure they will back it up with 100% health and satisfaction you should be fine. I think you have the right idea of buying the females now and male later though. Spider and pin albino project is also a great choice to work with both great looking animals.

I got my first snake, a 2010 super pastel male, from Outback and I had a great experience with the company. As you can see, he is a healthy boy

I have personally bought 3 snakes from Outback.

My Albino Spider is from Outback. As well as my Silver Bullet and my Black Pewter het Ghost.

I have seen those Albino Pins in person and had a chance to buy them as soon as he had them, but they had not yet had any meals in them.

Ian (Outback Reptiles) does a lot of importing and dealing, so this is likely where any bad things may come into play.

All 3 of my purchases have been in person at either Hamburg or Harve de Grace, so I saw the snake before I bought them. But all 3 are perfectly health and I will definitely buy from him again.

Some people don't like him because he buys low and sells lower. But I got great deals!

My ultimate goal is an Albino Clown Pied.

Thank you very much for the feedback everyone . I will definitely look at the inquiry section. Had no idea there even was one :p. And concerning the three threads comment did I accidentally post more than one thread? I can't see them on my browser and apologize if so.

Sounds to me like you have some good ideas for where you want to go with your project. I'm a big fan of both Albino Spiders and Albino Pins.

When doing your research on Outback Reptiles, I urge you to pay close attention to the timeframe when the negative reporting was made, and the names of the individuals involved. Outback has been through some rough patches, but I feel confident that if you look closely at all the feedback, you'll be able to make an informed decision.

I have recently purchased from Josh at Outback, and would do so again.
