A good trade is one in which both parties are happy. That said, I'd go play with the retic a bit before making any final decisions. When handling her try to imagine it being another 12 feet and 200 pounds, see if that helps you figure out whether you want one or not(they're not for everybody). I think if you're a first time large constrictor owner your best bet is to start with a baby so you can grow on each other. If you do that trade you'll be picking up an animal that could potentially do some damage without knowing any of her quirks. Sure she wouldn't be very dangerous at 8 feet but that's plenty of size to give a good slashing from those teeth should she prove temperamental. Just some food for thought.
