    Worst Injury You've Ever Gotten?

Just like the title says, whats the worst injury youve ever gotten? (Doesnt have to be herp related).
The only reason i ask this is bc i just had a 2nd ingrown toenail removed the other day and i had to get 4 shots of novacaine from a needle about the size of a turkey baster. I cant really do needles for some odd reason, felt like i was gunna pass out when i was getting shot up lol, but then once he started the procedure i watched the whole thing no problem. So anyways i kinda felt like a baby for making such a fuss over the whole needle thing, so it got me wondering what other people have had to go through compared to my petty ingrown toenail removals haha. Im always interested in hearing about peoples injuries, thats not weird right?
Besides the toenails ive been very fortunate. Never even broken a bone. Ive even totaled a car and walked away unscathed. It was an '88 corolla so basically a tin can without airbags. Me and my brother also did various other dumb things growing up that didnt get us hurt badly either somehow.
*Im not sure if posting pics of this kinda stuff would be against the rules or something so im not gunna until a mod says otherwise.*
Post away people! Lets here some good stories!

Nothing too exciting, broken ankle, several bad sprains, and a few self inflicted knife wounds and burns.

I am the luckiest unlucky person when it comes to injuries haha

I've been in a plane crash, four wrecks, came face to face with a bobcat over a deer I killed....and came away unharmed from all of these. But I went to go get the mail last year, and as I was walking down my driveway I stumbled, hit my face on the concrete, snapped my arm, and bruised my collar bone. Hahaha FML.

I have a few LOL but my worst was a weight lifting accident I had in 2009. I was a big dude my first year of college. 250lbs and 12 percent body fat. I was pushing myself to hard one day and during a 500lb deadlift my foot slipped and I herniated my L5 disc in my spine. Long story short I ended up in bed for almost 9 months before I underwent a spinal discectomy surgery to remove 50% of that disk. I was close to needing to have those surrounding vertebrae fused.

Took me another year to recover and now I still have back problems.

I have also torn my rotator cuff LOL

I dislocated my knee 13 years ago, that was not the most painfully part the painful part was to put it back in place myself , and the 8 hours wait at the ER with a knee the size of a basket ball was no fun either. They gave me 2 ibuprofens, removed a few cc of blood from my knee and sent me on my way home. (UK ER btw)

Good time , apparently I have a very high tolerance for pain.

My senior year of highschool my friend rented a limo for us to drive around in and hit different parties. Well you can probably guess what we were doing and i fell out of the limo while it wasnt even moving haha. But i ended up going to the hospital after all the parties and found that i tore a few ligaments in my ankle. It was probably the most painful thing ive experienced once i was sober. I had to wear an air cast boot type thing for 8 weeks but luckily it was off for prom lol

Most of my injuries occurred when I was younger, but I broke my ass playing flag football back in '09. Had to walk around with one of those inflatable donuts to sit on for quite some time. Definitely the most uncomfortable injury I've ever had.

I had a friend who was benching like 300lbs and dropped it on his head at a weight lifting competition. Blood was coming outta his ear. The two spotters were clearly NOT doing their job, but hes lucky they were able to catch at least some of the weight. A full 300lbs on your head would probably kill a person i would think.

I wasnt there for it but my boss accidentally sliced her wrist open at work once. I work in a kitchen so we get big boxes of aluminum foil rolls. Well she was opening the box or something and it slipped outta her hands and she tried to catch it and the serrated edge on the box sliced her wrist pretty bad. Nasty stuff.

My last active duty deployment was to FOB Lagman in Qalat, Southern Afghanistan. I spent 13 months assigned to an Army unit doing a provincial security mission. In 13 months I manage to hit 4 IEDs.

The one that did the most visible damage was a triple stacked AT-6 mine that lifted our 6 ton up armored HMVEE off the ground and landed us on our lid. That one shattered my right collar bone so badly that it healed non-union, which means the bones did not reconnect (the x-ray is pretty epic). They just kind of float around in there held together by scar tissue. I'm actually 1.6 inches narrower from the center of my sternum to my right shoulder cap than I am from the center of my sternum to the left side.

The damage you can't see is the TBI that I have from the accumulated blast damage to my grey matter. In the long run, it's going to be a lot harder to live with than the collar bone.

But, and this is a huge, monumental but, I consider my deal to be scratch, worthy of no more than a band-aid, compared to how badly some of our guys got hurt. I have zero complaints.
