    Switched to rats

I recently switched all my bp's to frozen small rats. The only problem is that they won't take unless i rub a mouse over the rat and get it to smell like a mouse. Am I going to have to do this forever, or will they eventually just take it without scenting it? I don't want to keep mice around if i don't have to.

Scent it for 3-5 meals then try giving an unscented rat first.

x2 Once you remove the mouse scent, stick with tough love if they don't eat. As long as they are in good body condition now, it won't hurt them to miss a few meals until they realize that's all they're going to get.

Thanks! My spider I just got last week was on live mice all of his 3 years. So he got switched to frozen and rats at the same time. I was very proud of myself lol
