    Question After the clutch.

It's my first year breeding(and she should lay her eggs in about 2 weeks) and I have read all I can about the entire process but I still have not come across one single piece of information. Once the female has layed her eggs and have them tucked away in the incubator, how soon do you offer food again?(I'm already assuming you need to give a smaller then usual prey item for the first 2-3 meal because of the long fasting period)

Im pretty sure that once you remove the smell of the eggs, that you can try feeding the next day. If the female is hungry she will eat. Some people feed through the laying process, even though it is not recomended.

My pastel takes food 3 days after laying! Be sure to wash the female really well after laying as well as her home!!

    Re: After the clutch.

Don't over-think it. Just clean her and her enclosure well after removing the eggs, and then offer on her next scheduled feeding day. I usually offer a small rat (or two) for the first feeding, and then up to mediums after that for any girls over 2000g (pre-preggers weight). Once they're back up to weight, I go back to smalls so they don't start fasting again too early.
