Striking out
My 5 month old ball python has struck at my cell phone 3 times while attempting to take his picture! He has never struck at anything or anyone else and I am not sure why he would strike at my phone every time I have tried to take his picture.. BTW I don't even have to actually take the picture, just holding it up infront of him he tries to bite it.
Any suggestions to why?

Either something about it is startling him or he is perceiving something as food.
Are you sure its a cell phone? Maybe your holding up the computer MOUSE?

is it warm? Some phones give off a small amount of Infrared radiation (heat) that a snakes heat pits can pick up.
Or maybe he was just pissed off lol

Re: Striking out
Some dudes just don't care for the paparazzi. Or maybe you weren't getting his good side.
