Dang snake won't eat!
Ugh! I'm sure if this has happened to you, you were just as frustrated as I am right now. I'm trying to get my 0.1 Lesser big enough to breed by next season. Well... That's kinda hard to do when SHE'S NOT EATING!! Haha. But seriously, it is starting to get on my nerves.
Right now she's eating 1 small f/t rat every 8-10 days. Im probably going to bump her up to medium as soon as she starts eating again. (of coarse after I get a successful small one in her).
Here's the deal, she started out on live mice and I successfully switched her over to f/t rats after having her for 6 months. Now she's been feeding on the rats for over a year in a half. She stopped eating over 6 weeks ago and I no it can't be from her not liking the f/t rats, can it?
The reason I ask is because when I heat the rat up with a hair dryer, after I had already warmed it up in a plastic baggy in hot water, she starts pokin her head out of her hide tryin to see whats goin on. As the rat gets warmer and warmer she starts really investigating. When I tried to feed her tonight, she even put her face up against the glass to watch me. As soon as I opened the lid to put the rat in, she followed the rat like a hawk wherever I moved it. After she came up to it and tasted it and looked at it for about 10 min, she just turned back around and went in her hide! I was so pissed! She looked so into it! I thought tonight was going to be for sure!
What can I do to get her eating coincidently again?? I really need help guys.
Thanks for the advice in advance. I really appreciate it.

P.S. the rat is now just chillin in front of the hide that my lesser is in and she's just lookin at it. Not moving.

Sometimes they just dont want to eat, and thats fine. Keep trying once a week to give it to her, and she will get hungry and take it. It takes alot of patience with these animals sometimes, but you must be persistant. There alot of threads on here about tricks to getting BPs to eat, you should check them out.

Ok thank you. I'll look into that.
