I like mediums, tending toward the lower white end of the spectrum. Especially in combo pieds, I LOVE being able to have the white contrasted with the pattern

I consider yours to be high white. Or at least on the upper end of a medium white pied. I would prefer a little bit more pattern than yours has an that would be ideal for me

I have a question-
Since the opinions seem to be pretty varied here how come most breeders still ask for more for a hi white pied and less for a low white one?
Ive seen nice low white pied males for as low as $550 at expos and high whites going for like $750-800
Most ones that i have seen that i like are about $650 on average bc i like the medium whites. So my question is how come even if low whites can throw hi white babies and vice versa, why are hi whites so much more expensive for the same genetics basically?
NOTE: im talking about pied males in all my examples here^^^
females obviously dont go for $550 lol!

I prefer high white with one or two saddles and little head pattern I hope to acquire one some day!

I like 50/50 and low white, I also like the ones that retain their color as adult.

I'm in the market for a Pied male this year, and have been looking at them a lot. I like the medium white Pieds, but (and this may be strange) the white has to be in the right places or I don't like it as much. Not all 50/50 Pieds are the same. I guess it's why a certain piece art is attractive to some, but not others.
Also on the strange scale, I tend to like Pieds that have white at the tip of their tails instead of the Pied pattern.
I'm also pretty sure that if I do pick up a Pied this year, it won't be a single gene.

With regular pieds or pied morph with don't affect quantity of white i prefer Medium white... on other side i love like certain morph affect amount of white giving You just head pattern and rest white

I prefer med white pieds as long as it's broken up with stripes.

I think it's because there were/are just a lot more low whites on the market. And people want their first pied to be one that really looks like a pied, not a ringer?
It is funny that this preference has continued this long into the pied-combo era, when so many combos make super-high-white, reduced-pattern pieds. People complain about "just another white snake with a toupee" -- you'd think they'd want low whites (or even no-pattern pieds), so they could increase the chances of getting some pattern on their spider pieds or panda pieds?
But maybe people really don't believe the amount of white is genetic at all, or just don't want to have to do repeated selective breeding if it is. And now everyone's pretty much banking on the enchi gene to increase pattern.
