    little bout my self

started actively keeping reptiles in 2000. was given a gravid red tail unknowingly on the gravid part. had a blast raising the babies and finding them homes and in less than a year I had over 75 reptiles. I relocated from AZ to OH for a job and rehomed all but 1.2 red tails. I lost those in the divorce in 2002 in 2009 my current wife and kids got me a normal BP for an early fathers day present. they were all terrified of it. within 2 months they all had the fever and we were up to 11 bp's in 3 short months. My idiot neighbor caught his house on fire labor day 2009 and in turn burned ours down too. we lost 6 of the 11 in the blaze. The loss of our beloved pets brought us to the name of our small business, House of Fire Reptiles. of course the 5 bp's(Karl pos het clown, edy normal male, Louise normal female, Meatwad bush baby male, Charlotte spider female)the fire department saved mean the world to us! We decided to continue collecting bp morphs and to breed to get the ones we liked but couldnt bring ourselves to purchase. and that puts us currently at 10.20 bp's and I just sold the last of the 2011's that we decided not to hold back today. well that about wraps it up for me. looking forward to getting to know some of ya'll. Happy Herping!

Welcome! I know the feeling about the fire. My house fully burned down in October. My family and I lost everything we got all but one pet out ( a Turtle) well and my big fish tank. Other then that everyone was fine. But that was before I had the animals in my signature those are all recent! We didnt have insurance so its been really hard. But hopefully things will get better.

    Anyways. Glad to meet you!

Welcome to the site! I love the picture of the firefighters bringing out the tank. I'm a 911 dispatcher, and the guys (cops and firefighters) always crack on me for my unique pets. They've all made it clear they won't be saving any snakes if there's ever a problem I somehow don't believe them though. They call my place "the house of horrors" lol. Good luck with the recovery that's left, I know it takes a long time

thats actually one of the tanks and the fire fighters from my house. there may still be some threads on youtube or local channel 4. search for snakes house fire bell vernon pa or man tasered while trying to save his pets from house fire. Sept. 9? 2009. my neighbors house was on fire and i was spraying mine down with a garden hose trying to keep it from catching on fire until the fire fighters showed up. a cop told me to stop and i didnt listen, he drug me away, an i went back, he said he was gonna taser me and i said go for it. so he did. lol it sucked but didnt stop me. i kept spraying until the fire department showed up and then i got out of the way. they were great. they were scared as hell but they came out carring the live ones.
