Hunger strike over but...
Normally I'm pretty strict with the whole not feeding mice to BP's. Usually they give in and eat a rat but I have one female who is key to a breeding project and I finally threw in the towel. She hadn't eaten in 2 months or so and I gave her a mouse and BAM she took it before the mouse had a chance to hit the floor. Anyone else have little divas that just refuse to tow the line? I guess I just need to hear I'm not the only sucker out there for a pretty lady.

With you... I have one stubborn Axanthic Diva. She will take a rat about once every 7-10 feedings; however, she puts her figurative foot down and will hunger strike until she gets some mice in her.
Have tried everything from trying to wait her out (3 months once), to scent rubbing, to letting the rat play in the used mice bedding for hours, to braining the rat, to braining the mouse and scenting the rat. She just seems to have learned my tricks and takes them only when she is ready.
Best of luck to you. I know how much of a pain it can be. Luckily, I breed both mice and rats (mice for my corns), so I have them readily available.

I have a few that have been off feed for months on end but none as important to my breeding plans as this girl. Good luck ending those hunger strikes!

My oldest snake is 5 years old now, I've had her since she was a hatchling. She's a RIDICULOUSLY reluctant eater. She's caused me way too much stress over the years, especially when I was new. She refuses any kind of food for at least five months solid every year.
I've learned to just let her do her thing and relax. There's nothing you can do about it anyway, no point in worrying

"Glad" to see I'm not alone on this one.
My 2010 Pewter and 2010 Pied females both decided to go off feed in late January. Both ate a few weeks ago for one meal and are on strike again. I'd like this Pied up to size so I can get some double hets going, but hey... we all know ball pythons...
