Pied group pricing input.

I have been looking at obtaining some breeding size pieds. I found a group yesterday and as this is a pretty big purchase for me, so I wanted to get some input on if it is a good deal or not.

So here is the info. It is a 1.1 visual pied, and a 0.1 Het pied. The visual pair are both proven, the female is currently 2600 grams, she last produced in 2010 (given 2011 off) and had 8 good eggs. The het pied is currently still growing up and is at about 1000grams. The only downside is that the age of the visuals are both unknown.

I have looked at prices of pieds and it seems they can be all over the place, especially when it comes to the breeder size.

The seller is asking $4000, I am shooting for $3500, so is somewhere between $3500 to $4000 a decent price that I won't soon regret?

Okay, the seller got back to me and said 3900 shipped and insured was the best he could do. Go or no go?

BTW, Semper Fi. Did my time at MCAS New River from 2003 to 2007. Almost lat moved to ATC, but that was a trigger I just could not pull.

Wow. I’m the guy who bought your “proven female pied”, back in 2015.
I was too new and naive to realize that $800 was too good to be true.
But since Abigail McDufford vouched for you, I believed it to be an honest deal.
I was wondering why she had never laid, since I bought her in September of 2015.
You neglected to mention that she hadn’t been proven by YOU. Just because the person who screwed YOU on the deal, said she was proven, does not give you the right to call her proven. You also failed to mention the part where you bought her as an adult who last allegedly laid in 2010, making her at least a 2007 hatch, if not older. It seems like you got screwed paying $4000 on the trio, by someone who really wouldn’t have even did them IF they were producing. And I should have know the same thing... That no one would sell what you claimed to have, for the price you asked, unless there was a major problem. I guess I only got burned for $800 while slightly mitigating your major loss.
Now, I’ll admit that I don’t even know if anyone will see this, but what more appropriate place could I tell this story? Don’t worry, I’ll start a new thread a well, just generally regarding gross misrepresentation and shady, dishonest sellers. Note, I’m reluctant to call you a breeder... Liar is the only title I can confirm.
Anyway Adam, thanks for being a stellar example of how NOT to buy a snake. And to think, we never actually spoke! Nice to meet you. Now I’ll bash Wallflower Herpetocture, since Abbie brokered this deal. And then ignored all my emails about the Huffman she sold me, as well as the yellowbelly female she sold me as a virgin even though she produced an ivory, and I don’t own a male yellowbelly. But I digress. The difference is that she’s still around... Are you? Do you even have ball pythons?

Considering this is a 6 years old thread and the OP has not been here since 08-02-2017 I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, additionally this is not the inquiry and feedback section.

So if you want to make this kind of thread I would recommend that you gather your evidence (invoice, communication, screenshot of payment etc) and post in the appropriate section with the full name and email of the person you bought from, that's what people do if they want to help and warn the community, otherwise that is just what I would call a rant with no evidence not something most will take seriously.
