    What kind of snake is this?

    Im a ball python kinda guy. A friend of the family gave me this and i have no idea what it is. Based in pics on Google Im guessing its a dumerils but not sure. Sorry.pic sucks but its from my phone. I do.t even like touching this thing because i don't know what it is

    Its a boa I think not sure what kind though.

    Yea forgot to mention he's in shed. I dunno something about it has me uneasy. I just think its cuz i have no idea what it is. Some identification would go a long way with my fear if ut i think. Its pattern is almost completely hidden by the shed

    well, it's a boa so, there's no need to fear it I think people may have a better time identifying it once it sheds out.

    Defunity looks like a bci based on pics. Never seen one one before. Looks like a dark retail. Thanks guys

    It's a Boa Constrictor Imperator, which is often sold in pet stores as a "red-tail boa", even though they are not true red-tails. I have two of them currently, One is my darling Ryuu, and the other is a sick rescue I just acquired.

    It looks very dark, even for being in shed, so it could be some kind of morph, maybe anery? Post pics after it sheds and we could possibly help more.
