    Picking A New Female

I recently picked up a Pastel YB male, and now Im deciding on a female. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to a Black Pastel or Lesser. Both of these are pretty different paths, but both make awesome combos. I would go with one and then eventually try to get the other, but I think Id rather get a larger Pastel female down the road. So what do you all think?
    Thanks!

I'm a pretty big fan of the Lesser, so my biased opinion would be to get one of them.

If I were you I would try and determine what your short term and long term breeding goals are and figure out what exactly you need to get for any desired outcome.

Lesser! I made a Lesser YB and I gotta say she amazes me everyday, throwing that extra gene might just make a wicked ball python.

Cool thanks for the opinions! If I wasn't leaning toward a lesser female before, I definitely am now lol .

Thanks for the replies again. But I went with the Black Pastel. She's an awesome example and also 66% het Ghost. She'll be here tomorrow, and I'll post up pictures soon.

    Of those two a Lesser....

But have you considered a Fire? Fire YBs and Firefly YBs are SWEEEEET.

I see you already chose, but you can still get a Fire for a good price.

Good choice I actually have a Black Pastel female approaching ovulation bred to my Pastel Yellow Belly male. I feel at least 6 large follicles. Black Bellies and Pewter Bellies are hot combos and super powerful. This is especially so with all the new Super Striple complex projects taking off.

Best of luck on your project! Can't wait to see pics.

    Regards,

    B

I did consider a Fire, and would love to have a female in the future. I agree those combos are really cool.

Thats awesome Simple Man, I can't wat to see what you get from the pairing. Good luck with the odds! I'm really happy I went with the Black Pastel.
