I dont know if i should wait and see if it goes away and tough it out. Or return it tomorrow for a new python. i really like this ones personality, its very docile and dose not curl up when i handle it? i liked how it also ate right off the bat. no problems with feeding and very personable. I am torn dont know what to do. there is a 14 day cut off and want to return it before its to late. any help or opinion would greatly help. basically is it worth it to keep it?
Not sure why you posted that here. You are sort of hijacking the OP's thread but I will answer it anyways. It really should have been posted in the BP husbandry or general BP section. Sounds like you have a respiratory infection on your hands. Very difficult to get rid of. Most likely the cause of poor husbandry. I'm not saying you caused it. It was most likely the petstore. You need to get the snake to a reptile vet ASAP if you want it to live. Basically ur snake has pneumonia and if it doesn't get sorted out fast, it won't make it. There are some threads on BP.net about what to do about RI's. I'm no expert in how to deal with it but I know there are a few people here that have beat it so there is hope. Good luck and like I said VET NOW!!!
