Little help from the breeding experts please :)

We tried to breed a couple of our big girls this season (our first attempt at breeding BPs) and saw many locks. This was a couple months ago now, and when we checked on our biggest girl (4012g) she looked almost like she swallowed a nerf football.

And since her last shed she does look almost like she's glowing

What do y'all think? Are we just being overly optimistic? This would be our only clutch of BP eggs this season. Thanks!

Well it looks like the start of an ovulation but it could also be her "building" Keep and eye on her and if she sheds here in the next 15+/- days you'll know..

Thanks! She feels really swolen in that section, and definitely looks like an ovy to me. Fingers crossed!

To me the top pics look like she's in glow, which would mean that is the beginning of or end of her ovy.

That is what I was thinking. I'm seeing good things in the near future.

Having said that... SHE IS A BEAST!!! And a good looking beast at that! What did you pair her with?

We borrowed a friends het OG, as all our males are too small this season. There are a few local shops who agreed to buy from us if we got a clutch this year, and a couple friends wanting BPs, so we thought we would give it a shot. Next season will be for the jigsaws, pieds, spinners, kingpins, etc. Once more of our collection is up to weight

Well, its been a while but this big girl just finally laid her clutch this morning! 12 eggs, with 2 slugs. She looks so empty now! Hoping to get her back on food shortly.
She destroyed her bin over night, we just cleaned her out yesterday!

12 big ol eggs, weighing in at 1167 grams! Thinking about it, this may be a who's your daddy clutch, as we tried our pastel and spider with her, not sure if either of them locked with her.
