Humidity.
I put more holes in my tub and my temperatures on the cool side are at about 77 now with my space heater and the hot spot is floating from 89-91, so I have almost everything set but my humidity. My humidity has been steady at 70 which is the lowest I have gotten it to stay at. Should I still put more holes in the tubs, or is 70% alright? I figure it's a little to high so I can easily put holes in the tubs and hopefully lower it.

I would add a few more holes, 70% isn't going to hurt, but 60% would be better.

Still seems a bit high..... A variety of factors can influence humidity, the season (depending on where you live, its really dry up here in the winter), water bowl size, water bowl position within the tank (usually evaporates faster if its located over a UTH) etc. If you've factored all these in and its still 70%, yes I'd cut another hole, one at a time, until it stabilizes around 60%.

What is the humidity in the room? If the room is 70% it is not likely you will get below that. Humidity is fine at 70% as long as you are not coupled with poor ventilation. Think basements, high humidity and low air flow and it starts to smell old, damp, that is bacteria and moulds, fungus none of it is healthy for humans or snakes. The simple truth is you cannot have too much ventilation.

Alright I think I finally have success, my tubs thermometers are now reading, and have been for at least an hour now 91 hot spot 78 cool side and 61 humidity and the other is 92 78 63. The cold sides have been rising from about 72-74 this morning because I didn't run my space heater last night because I don't have my snakes yet so didn't feel it was necessary. Hopefully this humidity stays constant below 70 because my snakes arrive tomorrow. Can't wait.
