    Fresh skin

Snuggles just shed (well, almost). - Never seems to get the top of his neck shed on his own, it's been a couple days since he gave up.

He always seems to have this - He sheds his eyecaps, has beautiful fresh eyes for a day or two, and then his eyes look like this. Do you think he has another layer of eyecaps? or is he just denting his current eye scales while trying to shed his neck?

Humidity was good, he has a moss box, just.. never seems to do well shedding.
I feel bad for him during shed...

Anyway, I posted pictures in the past but he was close to shed - looks much better with new skin

Humidity must not be good if he has poor sheds. I don't want to say what's wrong with his eyes. It could be multiple layers of eye caps, or it could be one. It could also be dehydration and his eyes are becoming dented. Do NOT try to remove those..

What is the humidity? What are you measuring humidity with? Show us your enclosure. Do you have any heat lamps? Show some pics of your enclosure and it can hopefully paint a bigger picture for everyone to determine what is contributing to the lack of humidity and poor sheds.

In that last pic, his eyes sure look funky in a bad way... I'll wait for someone else to chime in. I'm one of those people who will schedule a vet visit then post to the forum to get advice on what I should expect..

    Re: Fresh skin

He has a lamp on quite dim on the hot side, and a heat mat. I have a hard time keeping it humid in the past with aspen or paper, so I've put him on coconut husk the last month or so. I was hoping that would help him shed this time.

He never seems to want to go into a humid box or his water bowl around shed, just isnt his thing I guess. If i put him in a humid box he'll stay a little while sometime, though.

His eyes don't look quite as weird as that picture. Hard to take a picture of. Here are more eye pictures I just took.
They are clear but a little wrinkly looking - they don't have this wrinkly look when he just sheds them.

Since I moved him to the coco husk, it's been easy keeping it 40-60%... I bumped it up more than that around his shed, maybe 80%... doesnt really seem to help his shed, though
