    Some breeding and morph questions

Hey all I have some questions about breeding 2 corn snakes.

I currently have a Male Okeetee Corn Snake. My friends just had their clutch hatch (well not completely hatch). They are normals but mom and dad are amel and a ghost. So i think that is normal het for amel, anery and something else. Anyways if I get one of the normal females and down the road breed it to my Okeetee what will pop out of the eggs when they hatch?

    Thanks!

Re: Some breeding and morph questions

I told you what they were in the thread you posted about your friend's snakes last night...they are normals, all het for amel, hypo, and anery. If you keep one to breed to your normal, you will get all normals 50% possible het for amel, hypo, and anery.

Thanks Rob for clearing that up. So no fancy morph will pop out when I breed it to my okeetee? Is there anything out there that can be bred to an okeetee that will make something other than a normal het for something? I have tried to do research before coming here and asking questions but I couldnt find what I was looking for.

Re: Some breeding and morph questions

Okeetees are originally a locality specific, normal corn snake. For the most part, Okeetee and normal have been used interchangeably. A few breeders, through years of selective breeding have lines of super nice Okeetees...look at Love and Abbott Okeetees. There's nothing you can breed your snake to that will pop out anything other than normals that are het or poss het, unless it is by chance het for something, which is indeterminable without breeding. If you bred a Miami Phase, or other locality specific normal, to your Okeetee, I think the characteristics of them would kind of blend together, but they would still be normals.
