Sounds like an RI....you can check by holding the head up side down in your hand and with your thumb on the bottom side of the mouth slide the bottom lip to one side and look to see if you see and saliva build up...also look for saliva streaks on the side of the cage....if they are housed together both will end up with it...a hike in temp wont cure it....does help depending on the strain but wont cure it....trip to the vet....meds...humidity helps in most cases but not guaranteed.
Good luck RI's do bite but can be cured if treated soon enough.
