I would think if he was fed saturday and its monday now he is probably in the clear when it comes to regurge risk, esp if they were small meals.
It could be just water. He might have just recently drank and was startled by your fiance, hissing & striking may have forced some of the water back out his mouth.An actual regurge would look more disgusting than a clear liquid.I'd say He's fine.
