LOL keeps her from pushing the snakes out. Cats are so evil... in a kind of awesome way.

I'm surprised people's cats don't swat at the snakes when they're squiggling around.

My cat wants to beat my snakes up. Whenever one snake is at the front of the tub, my cat paws at the tub. I love when people ask "aren't you worried your snakes will eat your cat?!?" I'm always like "I'm more worried my cat will eat my snakes. Lol. Cool pics. I bet that cat is amazing for snuggles.

Ok, leave it to me to be that guy...

While I find this photo essay to be quite cute, I would like to mention to anybody out there who might be new to snakes, or cats, that as a general rule, the two don't always mix this well in close proximity to each other.

To any new owners with dreams of filling your facebook pages with similar photos, please keep in mind that the OP is very experienced with both snakes and felines, and knows which ones can be trusted for this type of interaction.

Still, there's always a first time...

I'll shut up now and join the rest of you in a collective, Awwwwwwwww!

Very cute pictures! One of my cats thinks that inside a freshly opened tub is where she needs to be too. Thanks for sharing!

Of course I knew somebody would be that guy - LOL. But you are right, and I should have put a disclaimer "do not try this at home" in the post.

This particular cat is 11 years old, slow and lazy, and has never even attempted to attack my snakes... same goes for my 15 year-old Siamese mix, and my dog who actually runs away if the snakes get near him (I trained him to do that). Now as for my spastic ex-feral 5yo tuxedo cat? I will NEVER let her near the snakes, as she'd quickly try to make them her dinner. So definitely don't let your cats or dogs around the snakes unless you're experienced & aware of their temperaments!

P.S. Keep in mind I was also within arm's reach of them, and I have extremely fast reflexes.

Now I will say thank you to everyone who commented, and glad you enjoyed the pics! And to the poster who said he'd be a good cat to cuddle with, I'd say only if you want to end up with stitches... while he might be pathetic at hunting small animals, he is quite good at sinking his claws into humans. But when he is in the mood for cuddling, yes he is incredibly soft and squeezable!
