    High Contrast Albino

Are High Contrast Albinos a totally different gene then normal albinos, similar to lavender albinos? Or are some just higher contrast then others?

Nowadays im seeing all albinos labeled that just so potential buyers think its more special. I would say only about 50% of the ones labeled high contrast are ones that id actually consider high contrast

Nearly all hatchlings look 'high contrast' for their first few months, but it's what they actually look like as adults that counts. It's not a seperate gene just variation amongst individuals.

high contrast is simply a quality measurement for that particular gene. As you often hear pastels being referred to in terms of high quality and low quality animals. With Albinos the greater the contrast, the more desirable they tend to be. Although that can be misleading.
