I read something recently on these threads that I feel compelled to share.

Make sure the hole in the plastic does not have sharp edges and is more than large enough for the snake to fit through beyond a shadow of a doubt. The suggestion was to cut it in the edge of the lid so that if it gets stuck and pushes, the lid will pop off. I would think simply a large enough hole would be just as safe.


If you use a tank, I have seen people put a moist towel over top to bump humidity up. That should last overnight.
