My sister in law and nephew (9) met him at a mall dvd signing, said he was super nice and friendly.
Hard to defend reality TV and only watched a couple episodes but you can tell how whomever produces it wants to portray this false sense of danger and definitely the situations/dialogue are very cooked. Shame they didn't take it in a more educational direction but at least they made concerted effort to be eco friendly and promote relocation. Didn't do the herp keeping cause many favors tho.

In order to do that, they would need to have someone educated in what they are talking about. Billy just blurted out whatever came into his head right or wrong. And in doing so made snakes look like monsters to the general public.
