    DIY Bator Question

Is it ok to set my water jugs on top of heat tape(flexwatt) or is this considered bad practice nowadays? I got my incubator finished and it holds temperatures great, just trying to make sure it's as safe as possible before leaving it plugged in for the season. Thanks for the help, John.

Oh well, it seems to be holding temps fine anyway. In the last week my low has been 87 with the highest temp 88, the majority of the time spent at 88 degrees. The windows aren't the prettiest(dull razor) but it'll be nice not having to open the incubator at all to check eggs. I reckon I'll use this one for a couple years anyway before I build something bigger.
