Need to do a paper for class

I am going to need to a paper for my College Composition class. I am thinking of writing a paper about the reptile hobby mainly being ball pythons and I am also thinking of incorporating some info about all the bans into the paper also. Does this sound like a good idea to all of you? We are supposed to pick a subject about something we care about and that has meaning to us.

Sounds like a great topic. Do you have to state a point and defend it, or is this an informational paper?

This is pretty much state a point and defend it. I am going to do a ton of research and come up with some good points.

Sounds like a plan! Could you clear it with your prof and classmates and maybe do a "show and tell" portion of it? Maybe bring one of your animals in for people to see that they aren't man-eating monsters? I realize what a hassle that could be as well as the possibility of risk of injury or illness for the animal...just a thought, if you could work out the logistics and do it without ruining someones day if they're terrified of snakes.
