confused

so i am realy confused. i never herd of this before, and i dont know what to do.
ive herd of snakes breaking OUT of their tanks but never INTO a tank.

i took my snake out of my big tank and put her in a smaller tank by herself and she ended up back in my 200 gallon with everyone else. this has happened three times and every time i fix everything but now she ruined my lid for the smaller tank.

ideas please.

What kind of tank? Many of the glass tanks on the market are able to be locked (at least the ones i have seen). I secure my tub with binder clips so he is unable to get out.

Yes I guess it was a bit harsh, but I feel that for any pet, reptiles more so than others it seems, the care taker should take some time to figure out what they need to do BEFORE they get they animal so that they can judge if they are going to be able to properly care for it and provide it with an environment very similar to it's own. In this case the person bought the animal with very little prior knowledge on taking care of a bp. Sure they're trying hard now which is good, but you should always be prepared and responsible for any animal you purchase.

Give your bp to someone who will care for it properly. I HIGHLY doubt the snake has broken out of its tank and gone back into the "zoo" 3 times...
But then again i could be wrong. If I was a bp i know i would love to live in a cold, damp environment with other species of herps from completely different continents. Oh yea and swimming in the "pond" and getting bit by the fish would be a real treat too!

I'd like to give my 02 cents....my corn snake Skittles escape twice from his PLASTIC mesh lid, the lightweight ones, even when it had both cage clips AND books stacked on the sides of the lid. If your snake is crafty they can get out with a plastic lid! I found him both time he escaped as a baby, and he was so small I didn't even know he could reach the lid let alone crawl out. I swapped him onto a METAL lid and bam! He's in there good, not getting out. Cage clips are on there too.
So my recommendation: cage clips on a metal lid. Plastic lightweight lids will have your snakes escaping!!!

Also no need to be mean to people as long as they express genuine concern at the situation and an honest desire to fix it which I do see here. Now whether it happens or not, we won't know that yet, but I do see a desire to fix things.
