I guess I'll just let her wear her medium hide as a hat for a while longer.
Wait until she is 3300 grams, you will be wishing they made an x large lol. My biggest girl is starting to wear her large hide like a hat.
Love me some Reptile Basics.
Edit: Just noticed they DO have an X large... Don't remember seeing that before

RBI hides are the best I've ever used. In fact, I have two sets for each of my snakes. Makes tub cleaning that much easier when I can just remove and replace. Same goes for water bowls and tubs for that matter.
Cost too much
The least expensive BP I have cost me $225 to purchase. The value of the animal increases with every gram they gain.
4 x RBI hides = $21
2 x Ceramic water bowls = $12
1 x Extra IRIS MCB-L Tub = $13
Total = $46
For me, that's not too much...I consider it part of the cost of owning the snake, and I factor it into any new addition to my collection....just my method.

Very true. And if you dont have doubles of everything, which i dont lol, then it would only cost like $30...

x2
If you hadn't said this, I would have. If you're housing live animals that you intend to make a business of and can't invest 50 dollars per enclosure (which can be re-used indefinitely), you should be selling gimp bracelets and not snakes.
Makes me wonder if people even keep enough money in savings to guarantee a vet visit for each animal they own, even if they all need to go at once...

I guess I should have given some further explaination....
I keep only male BPs, and have them in RBI racks which use the IRIS MCB-L tubs. Each snake has two RBI hides, and one ceramic water bowl. I use indented Kraft paper for substrate.
I'm single, and unless my kids are visiting, I don't have anyone to help hold snakes while I clean things. That might help explain why I do things the way I do...
When I find a dirty tub, or if I'm doing a total overall cleaning, I just take the snake's spare IRIS tub, line it with substrate, drop in two hides and fill the water bowl. I pull out the tub currently being used, slide in the fresh tub, and move the snake. No muss, no fuss.
Then, I can wash hides, bowls and tubs at my convience.
I always keep spare tubs ready to go with eveything set up except water in the bowl. That way, even if I spot a dirty tub on my way out the door for work, I can make the change in less than a minute. The snake gets a clean set up, and I can wash stuff up when I get home. For me it's a win-win.
