And the thermostats lights are on, so I went ahead and plugged the hair blower into one of the thermostats outlets and there is no power from the thermostat itself.

it was a cheaper one (zilla) will be upgrading to a herpstat this time around. Good thing I caught it before any other damge occured
does the thermostat read the temps right? its not going to output power if it thinks the temps are right. If it is reading the low temps though... then yea time for a new one.
