Found some issues today, while feeding and taking tempreture readings, Found the hot side of the tub was very cool,

the thermostat was on, but there was no power being sent threw it. plugged in the hair blower to check and it wouldnt work aswell, replaced the cord that was burnt, and still nothing from the thermostat.

All I have right now is a floor heater next too the rack, which makes the ambient temp to 79f. Im unable to order another thermostat untill this weekend, so my pythons will be without belly heat for at least 2weeks.

Not sure what caused this to happen.

can't tell you what happened exactly but you can clearly see the hot and neutral shorted together. after replacing the cord, does the hair dryer work when you plug it into the new cord? you might of popped a fuse/breaker.

I thought it may have been a fuse too, but after replacing the cord There is still power coming from the outlet,

And the thermostats lights are on, so I went ahead and plugged the hair blower into one of the thermostats outlets and there is no power from the thermostat itself.

it was a cheaper one (zilla) will be upgrading to a herpstat this time around. Good thing I caught it before any other damge occured

does the thermostat read the temps right? its not going to output power if it thinks the temps are right. If it is reading the low temps though... then yea time for a new one.

Hi,

What type of thermostat is it? ETA - OK re-read and saw it was a zilla.

You may, as stated above, have tripped an internal fuse when that short happened.

I would call their customer service and ask for advice.
