    Always hidden away

My bp is always in his hides, Iv had him on a tight feeding schedule for a while, every five days but Iv slacked back to seven now and he still stays in his hide all day and all night. I never see him wandering around any more and I'm starting to get worried

That's the sign of a happy Bp. Consider him hanging in his hides a compliment to your husbandry.

I dont think you have anything to worry about...most of the time they will roam the enclosure at night, as long as he is feeding well and not doing anything else out of the ordinary id say he is fine.

That's actually quite a relief to hear, I had moss along the bottom of his tank and I changed half of the tank to that straw like bedding, I don't like using that because it is so hard to keep his hide flat on the glass so he can't burrow underneath and get caught. So I only
Cover half the tank. I thought it could have stressed him out and he just doesn't want to come out anymore

The fact that he now doesn't want to come out anymore means that he thinks his tank is nice and secure and gives him a good place to hide :3 BPs are shy and nocturnal, so if they come out at all it'll be at night when it's quiet.

Quetzal will occasionally be chilling on his branches or poking the screen when I come in from work at night (10pm or later) but otherwise he's in one of his 4 hides and will only poke his head out when I'm causing a scene outside of his tank
