eating
My 3 balls haven't eaten in a while so I tried feeding differently. I normally use F/T and thaw in hot water and use a feeding enclosure and it has been fine up until January when they stopped eating. Today I fed F/T and thawed in hot water then dried with hair dryer and fed in their own enclosures. It worked with 2 of them and they took the rats right away. The third however, a 2 year old male spider, was very interested then didnt want the rat. Then an hour later I tried a mouse and again he was very interested then didnt eat. He has not eaten since January. I haven't got a scale to weigh him but he visibly has not lost weight or doesnt look sick..... when do I try assist feed him or do I just keep offering every week and have patience?

Don't assist feed, he will come around. Bp's can go many, many months without food and remain perfectly healthy. It's frustrating, but hang in there and don't offer food more than 1x per week!

I just had a female eat for the first time after 5 months. She is a fussy eater. I honestly think that she only ate a dozen rats all last year. She had only lost a few grams after the long fast.

Re: eating
It is very frustrating and I know people have said their ball doesn't always eat and they are finicky, etc.....but mine have always eaten regularly but this spider isn't that way so I was making sure there wasn't anything more I can do...but I will just be patient with him and hang in there. Thanks guys.

Don't try to assist feed. Most times that just makes matters worse.
Keep offering on a regular schedule, and he will come around when he's ready.
