What would you get?
Hi, Im new to the forums, been keeping reptiles for a while. Next weekend I might be picking up a couple terrariums for dirt cheap. I might be getting 2 2mx80cmx80cm glass or 1 2mx80cmx80cm OSB and one 2.40mx70cmx80cm plastic trying to decide what I could use them for. Just looking for some suggestions, if it were you, what would you get? Burmese and retics are out of the question, i know the cages are too small for an adult anyway.

Hello, and to BP.net...
Those are some pretty large cages. They will be large enough to house a snake up to about 3m long. You could put adult Red-Tail Boas, Dumerils Boas, Coastal Carpet Pythons, Diamond Pythons, larger rat snakes, or most any of the mid-sized snakes. You could also probably keep Bearded Dragons, monitors, or Tegus in them...

I'd be looking at a red tail boa for an enclosure that size.

For those here in the US, the enclosure sizes are about 7ft x 31in x 31in and 8ft x 28in x 31in.
To answer the question, you could easily keep an adult Red Tail Boa - even a large female Surinam - in one of those. I love boas - they have so much personality - so I have to vote for that.
But you could also divide it and keep any number of species. Divided in half, you could still keep a pair of male BCIs. Divided in thirds, and you might consider GTPs for some nice arboreal set ups. That would be quite impressive actually and the tanks should only require some slight modification.
In other words, you have some flexibility there so enjoy it!

I'll place a vote for a red tail boa.

Honestly. I would put a woma or black head <3 lol
Then I'm tiny like a door mouse
Short like a bungalow house
Minute like a pixie
You can barely even see me

All have some great ideas, but im probably not going the boa route. Never really thought about dividing it for GTP or something. Not a bad idea. The cages are too small for Tegus or Monitors (not high enough for soil or wide enough), unless I went with a dwarf monitor. But since I already have a setup for Ackies I will probably not go that route. Still have not got the cages yet, not sure whats happening yet..... hope the deal still goes through. Im leaning more towards a carpet, a diamond would be cool, but cant seem to find any out here. What I found that I would really want is a boelens python but Im also unable to locate one out here.
