Well I'm jumping on the Rhac band wagon

I have ordered two gargs and am just currently waiting for Ohio's weather to play along with shipping. Well I was in our local Pet Supplies Plus a week or so ago and seen they had a crestid. I was in there today and had some cash in my pocket and even though I tried to leave without buying an animal I was unsuccessful. So now I have my first crestid gecko and my first gargoyle geckos on the way.

No name as of yet and havn't weight it. Am a little curious what the morph is though. Crestid morphs confuse me just about as much as leopard gecko morphs do.

Well said! They can be very interpretive.

I'd call your new little one a flame. Flames have a dorsal pattern but little to no lateral or leg patterning. Yours has both lateral and leg pattern, but not enough IMO to be considered a harlequin (which has a clear amount of lateral and leg patterning). I really like the nice heavily colored dorsal pattern. The colors will change a ton with age, you will be surprised.

I'd love to see some pictures of your gargs as well when you get them, or if you have pictures from the breeder. Either way, welcome to the club, you won't regret it!

I just jumped on the "Rhac bandwagon" myself and got my first gargoyle gecko last week. Congratulations on the new acquisitions!

Thanks all that replied. There are two of the best side shots I could get. That little bugger is fast and doesn't like the camera up in its face.

Re: Well I'm jumping on the Rhac band wagon

Well I'm happy to say my little crestid is eating. Like I mentioned i got it from Pet Supplies Plus and the only thing as far as food that was in this little guys critter keeper was crickets. Got it home let it settle in a little bit and offered a milk cap of CGD. Pulled it after the reccommended 36 hrs and this is what I have.

Only my big male will eat fresh CGD, my juvie and girl wait at least 24hrs then peel it off the dish.

    Weirdos.
