    Just got my first Leo

Well as the title says, I just got my first Leopard Gecko. I'm not sure if it is a boy or girl, and don't really care. I doubt that it is a morph but let my know if it is

I've decided to name him/her Helios.

Just a quick question, does he/she look healthy? Supposedly he/she is around 4 weeks old.

Anything I should look out for?

The age approximation looks accurate, just make sure it's eating consistently and keep a close eye that you know it's eating.

Make sure your humid hide is up to par, it may or may not have a problem with toe sheds. Other than that, it looks healthy for the age.

ok, thanks. I'll keep a close eye on sheds/feeding

About how often do they shed when they are young?

Congrats on your new baby! Helios looks good to me!

Without knowing the exact age or the parents it's possible he/she could also be a Tangerine. It should shed about every two weeks depending on how much food you feed it.

Besides the obvious signs to look for, stuck sheds can be a very serious problem for geckos. Keeping them well hydrated and providing access to a humid hide will help prevent that, but not always. Remove any stuck shed immediately with a warm soaking and gentle massage. And don't forget calcium and vitamins for long term health.

Welcome to the addicting world of Leopard Geckos
