    getting a reptile website

I was wondering how you guys that have websites to sell reptiles go about setting up a website. Is there a host that everyone in the business uses? What are the costs associated with a website?

Sorry for the vague questions. I am just trying to figure out how to set one up. I have designed a few webpages here and there but never had to get a site for one, so I really dont know what I am doing. Thanks for the help.

I'm an aspiring web designer. You just have to pick a host that offers what you need at a good price. There are sites that rate hosts. Buy a domain.. park it.. build it. You have to pay to keep the domain name, pay to have your site submitted (and resubmitted) to search engines and pay for monthly hosting charges.

    Re: getting a reptile website

1and1.com has GREAT service. i've got 3 web site's with them right now. The 2 main packages i use are "home" and "business" package. In the Home package, it's like 4.99/month with 1000mb of storage. I pay an extra $5 and i get a MySQL database (which allows forums such as this one). It's worth 10 bucks a month and 2000mb storage. Check them out: http://www.1and1.com

    Re: getting a reptile website

You really need to figure out what features you need, then shop for hosts that provide them, within your price range, and with a reputation for good customer service. So far we're happy here with www.hytekhosting.com , but I have had bad experiences with www.hostrocket.com and www.hostreflex.com so I can't recommend them.
