And our government poses them as a danger to all humans.. Though this burm could easily kill the boy, it just shows that they are not "man-eaters" or searching for humans to kill.

Love the back and forth banter.
"It's awesome and so cute." "The snake is going to eat that kid!"
Since none of those people have the slightest clue how they live their lives from day to day, how can they pass judgement on the boy, his snake, or his family ?
I enjoy the pictures very much, it's not often you see an animal that size that isn't in a private collection, or being vilified by the media.

You guys haven't heard of the snake boy of Cambodia? I'm surprised :o
He absolutely adores the snake, which if I'm recalling correctly is actually wild and now simply lives with the family. I'm pretty sure his parents said it kept getting into the house and eventually they just let it stay around... which it has for the past 9 years.

The comments on the page are absolutely hysterical. This is my personal favorite.
"I've heard of pet pythons going to bed with people, sleeping curled up under them, but then starting to stretch themselves out beside the person rather than curled up underneath... it's believed the snakes stretch themselves to see if they can eat the person"
First of all, will everyone who regularly sleeps with their burms are retics in their beds please identify yourselves. Secondly, BWAHAHAHAHA!!
"It's believed...." hahaha. I love the authority in the statement. Gosh, I know I should be furious at the urban legend, but people's level of idiocy in believing everything they read is just hilarious to me, I can't help it.

Re: A Kid & his pet
there is a video of this on youtube. it is pretty cool. and shows that snakes can in some form show emotions other then fear and hunger. and the cool thing is with that snake in there envirorment can free roam.
