I do the same thing! I need to know the size of something before I can start working.

However, I think there are some smaller sterilite tubs that I can use that are about the same height as the large ones. Even if there aren't, I suppose I could also just have two different height in shelves depending on the sides.

Actually, I really just needed more cons as to why this wouldn't work. The handling of multiple snakes at once didn't even occur to me, and that is more than enough to make me not want to do it.
