It doesn't look like an eye cap to me, but I'm really not sure what to tell you to do with it. I'm sorry I'm no help, but I'm sure someone else can chime in and help ya out.

Doesn't look like a stuck eye cap. Could possibly be a deformity or just some swollen tissue around the eye. I don't see any redness or infection so if it was me I'd just keep an eye on it to see if he grows out of it of if it gets worse.

i say leave it alone. i tried messing with an eyecap once and it caused more problems than i had with it on there. if it is a stuck eyecap just concentrate on keeping humidity right and it will come off naturally with the next shed. if its still there after the next shed, consult a vet.

I took a million pictures of these guys when they hatched and after they shed. But what do you know, all of the ones of this little male are on the "good" side.

AH-HA. Same hatchling, on Oct 2, shortly after his first shed. Right side, eye looks normal.
So if it looked normal after the 1st shed, and now it's all squashed after the 2nd shed ... ?

It could just be irritated after shedding.

Hi all,
It's been a few months, and he's shed a couple times, and I just wanted to update: the little guy's eye is back to normal. The eye went back to normal after the next shed, and there haven't been any problems since.
Maybe it was just a weird eyecap? Or a normal eyecap that got pushed out of whack during a bad shed?
Anyway, he's healthy and happy and not deformed! I'm happy with that.
