Okay, thanks, I'll cancel that idea. I guess I'm just so desperate to find him. I'm still tearing up the rest of the house in case he didn't go into the attic.

Maybe some painter's tape or something that is less sticky might work to replace glue traps?

Don't use any sort of tape. It's not recommended to be used in more controlled environments like a tank or tub because serious harm can come to your snake as it tries to get itself free or you try to get it free (I think I remember somebody's snake lost an eye because of an incident with tape). Try more of the bottle traps but please no tape anywhere.
