    Poopy & Hide Problem

My BP was constipated horribly and I thought it was because he was shedding. It wasn't a pretty picture after I helped him get the rest of it off. The pet store fed him live mice and he has some scars that prohibit him from shedding his bottom portion. Anyways, he pooed everywhere. So I though okay, reasonable enough.

But now I fed him a week ago and he hasn't pooed yet. I fed him again last night but I don't want him to be constipated again. Is there anything else I can do besides soaking him? Will this hurt him permanantly? [/end poopy]

[hide ?] Hades loves his Christmas card box but he is just too big for it now. He makes a valiant effort to fit under it but it just won't work. So I got him two new boxes that are upgraded for his size. Well he got so mad he beat the crap out of the two new boxes and refused to go inside of them. So I put the Xmas card box back in and whatever side I put it on he will sleep in it and not the other box. What should I do because he just doesn't fit in the stupid thing anymore lol?

    Re: Poopy & Hide Problem

Its not unusual for them to go a few weeks w/o expelling any urates or having a bowel movement. If your snake pooped, its not constipated. If he goes for over a month w/o pooping and eating every week, you might want to give him a lukewarm soak to help loosen things up.

As for the hide, they like hides that touch them on all sides, and thus feel more secure. I didn't really understand what you said but just understand what I just said, and make any necessary adjustments from there.
