Im new!
Hello everyone.. I just received my first baby pastel ball python yesterday from lll reptile.. he is a gorgeous lil feller... My question is are zoo-med hygrotherms worth the money or are there any diferent hygrotherms cheaper but same efficiency... im not new to snakes.. but new to technology... also any tips on what to do and great ways to feed and raise my baby ball would be greatly appriciated..
lll reptile said that its between 2-3 mons old at 15 inches..they have been feeding live small adult mice..but ive been reading that african fuzzy rat pups have alot more calcium and nutrients than regular mice.. any insight broad or specific would be great..
by the way ball pythons are so docile compared to my albino burmese...thank goodness lol

Welcome to BP.net!!  As for the zoo-med hydrotherms, no they are not worth the money in my opinion. I always just go with the accurites from walmart. They are way cheaper and better if you as me.

thank you for the great welcoming everyone..i knew there had to be something other than zoo med brand!!!!!!...ok accurites.... i will be heading to wally world today lol...
any ideas on the feeding small adult white mice or should i go with something different than what lll reptile was feeding... I will be doing my first feeding attempt tomorrow... i sure do hope it has a good appetite rather than being stubborn..

Welcome to Bp.net.... Personally if it was feeding of white mice before you bought it I would continue to feed it white mice for now. After it is eating regularly on mice I would make the switch to rats.

ok thats a great idea.. thank you...lil white mice it is... as for regulating humidity...how can i do that automatically.. my fogger just gets it too humid in there if i leave it on...need something to control it..

Most people just mist their enclosures with a water bottle once or twice a day. I have a humidifier in my reptile room so I don't have to mist to much. What bedding do you use? Some hold humidity better than others.
