    Rack building

I am looking to build a small rack, to put a few sub adults/hatchlings in for now. I was looking at this rack, think this will work?

With, I got lazy and didnt feel like cutting to exact size and the bottom of each shelf isnt exactly smooth so I would have to put like thin wood underneath each shelf.
