    Incubators for next season!!!!

I'm looking to buy some custom made incubators for next season and my search has brought me here respectively, the best incubators for price, aesthetic appeal, that fit my purpose and price range, if I go this route I will purchase 3 of them.

Here is the link - Natures Spirit Reptiles - http://www.nsreptiles.com/

I have thought about building my own but I want something that is "pro looking" and efficient without the actual labor lol

What do you guys look for in an incubator? Who would you recommend? Be direct and detail lol aid me in my decision folks =)

My first year in reptiles is this July =) Other than my pet turtle when I was like 8 lol don't even know what it was.

Thank You for your time and God Bless
    Victor

    Re: Incubators for next season!!!!

I prefer to make my own just search Craigstlist for a wine coole or old true display fridge. I got mine from my neighbors store and was easily converted into an incubator. Just have to get the freon removed and then take all the hardware out add flexwatt and a fan and you got a great incubator

I agree with Robbie, you can't beat a good homemade incubator, dollar for dollar. Bottle/wine cooler incubators come out really professional looking too.

One question since you mentioned it, is this your first year keeping reptiles or your first year to attempt breeding? If this is your first year keeping and breeding make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. Its a lot of work and rarely pays off, even when working with high end morphs. Definitely not a "get rich quick scheme" as some may think. Making money breeding is a gamble at best. My best suggestion is research, research, research and listen to the folks here. There are a lot of respectable breeders here who know a lot about keeping and breeding reptiles.

    Re: Incubators for next season!!!!

You can't go wrong with a natures spirit incubator if you go that route. I bought mine a few months back and it is a great incubator well built and great for holding temps. I wanted a professional looking incubator and that's why I bought it. It looks nice and functions well. Also the price really is not bad when you think of how long your going to use it. I have my first clutch in it as we speak. I can't wait till the year comes that I have to buy another one. Lol. I do have an old coke cooler that I plan on making one also just in case. Hope this helps. And by the way the folks at natures spirit are great to deal with.

Indeed Robbie your input is well recieved

Mr. AK907 thanks for the question/concern/advice I agree with you 100% and you are correct it is most definitely not a get rich quick scheme lol, I have pied and fire female not breeding/eating/building follicles lol I am very aware

I have been blessed with an opportunity to meet experienced people in this hobby at my church that introduced it to me the hobby, it seemed fun so I joined in, My first year is in July but in the time allotted i have had many opportunities with learned individuals and it has just increased my fondness of the animal in and of its self =)

P.S I've already seen and heard what happens when financial gain is the only purpose in the hobby

I haven't used one, but animal plastics makes a great looking big incubator. If the quality is as good as their racks, it's a good one.
