Ok...
Do your best to get her to give you the little snake back, do not steel or "take" the snake, you could end up with a theft charge and she could get it back.
Threaten calling animal control, and let her know the risk of getting all her animals taken and an animal cruelty charge.
If YOU break the law, and are caught, you will loose any chance to help that snake, and end up having to deal with your own criminal charge.
There is a big difference between what is "right" and what is "legal".
