I hear that a seven day schedule (on appropriate sized feeders) is good for retics while they're growing, and I plan to do that feeding schedule when I pick up my mainland.
You could go once every 5 days roughly twice a week with rat pinkies/fuzzies. I fed pretty often when my SD was a hatchling.Tho she is still far from adult, now she is pushing 4 1/2ft on small rats.
Any hatchlings I get I want them to have food in their bellies as often as possible (without overfeeding of course). When babies get hungry is usually when they start getting snappy which is what I don't want.

I hope it's rat pinks and every 4-5 days is accurate. They have a speedy metabolism and grow like weeds. They don't eat pinks long. Mine moved to pups within a few months and weans a few months after that. I still feed every 5-7 at 1.5 years old and my pair are both thin bodied and active.
