I would continue to pair until april or may. If you have not had follicles past that point she might not be going this year.

You can still lock them up, females can store sperm. Also, I heard (not sure if it's true) that locking with a male can help stimulate the development of follicles. Not sure on that, but it won't hurt to put them together.

If a male is not introduced at least once a month the female will most likely sit on her follicles for a while until introduced or reabsorb.
