    UGH!!! *feeding rant*

My 100% het albino female (~500g), albino male (~300g) and Cinny 100% het albino female (~300g) have all been off feed for 25, 25 and 15 days respectively. They are driving me nuts! NOTHING has changed! Ok well my normal female who was in a tub NEAR them in the rack laid her eggs...but I can't imagine that was it. I don't know if they all formed some sort of albino club and decided to play Gandhi. I even broke down and offered mice weanlings tonight...nothing. Grrr!

In other news...the normal female (mentioned above) who laid the eggs has gone back to being the garbage disposal she was before!!

Sounds like you have a ball pythons!
Hang in there. If they see you are exasperated with them, they win!

I have a few that decide not to eat this time of year. Every year. One takes about 2 to 3 months off. The others take more time than that. A few years ago, one went 7 months without eating! He was just fine, only lost 10% of his starting body weight.

I know it is difficult, but don't worry about it. It is what they do. They will be fine.

Yup, I'll second what everyone else has said. Its all part of owning ball pythons and 25 days isn't nearly long enough to start worrying. In time you'll learn to let it go. We have a few that religiously go off feed during the winter and go a couple months without feed without any ill effects. As long as they aren't losing heaps of weight, I wouldn't worry. Its just starting to warm up and breeding season is ending so they will snap out of it soon enough and be back on feed with a vengeance!
