First time having a reptile shipped so have a question
Hello all. This is the first time I'm gonna have a reptile shipped to me. Actually two gargoyles (my first ones) . Well the seller is going to be using SYR and was looking at home deliver. But from what I remember fedex generally doesn't show up until around 4pm where I live. Which is out in the middle of now where. So I was going to ask the seller to mark it as pick up at a fedex location. The only problem is I don't know how to find the nearest fedex location to me that allows pick up. There website has confused me a little.
If anyone can tell me what exactly I'm looking for in a fedex location I'd much appriciate it. My zip code is also 44822 and there are some fedex locations around just don't know which one I'd choose? Thank you all for your time.

If you cant figure it out i wouldnt worry a whole lot bc SYR always seems to know what theyre doing. If the seller wasnt using SYR then maybe id be worried but idk if ive ever heard of an animal arriving dead through SYR. Just my thoughts, but i can also understand why you wanna get them earlier...

SYR has nothing to do with the delivery time or the success of live arrival. Call FedEx and give them your address and they will be able to tell you your delivery time for Priority Express. If it's that late in the day tell the shipper you want it held at:
1: A FedEx World Service Center if there is one close to you.
2: FedEx Office closest to you.
These are your best options. Make sure the seller marks the package held for pickup at whatever location you decide. It's easy to do GL!

You can book your package to be held at the FedEx facility very easily, it is a very common booking. SYR guidelines are here:
SYR Get Help- Hold at Facility
Plug in your zip code at this link and find the FedEx Guaranteed Delivery time for your address:
FedEx Transit Times
Most deliveries are by 10:30am, but more rural addresses can be as late as 4pm.
Use the SYR On-Time and Live Arrival Insurance to protect yourself against late deliveries and DOAs.
And feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

I transport hundreds of baby garter snakes every spring using the "hold package for pickup" at fed ex.
That way the package is there usually as soon as the Fed Ex office opens in the morning.

go to fedex.com and punch in your zipcode for locations, Filter the results to only FedEx Staffed world service centers, Pick the closest one and have that address put in for the ship to address.
Use your name and phone number on label but have fedex hubs address there. Itll be available by 8-9am normally and thats it.

Most of my fedex shipments come in the late afternoon but whenever I get a reptile shipped they always show up before lunch time. I think you will be fine just letting them deliver it.
