    Black Pastel (Price Check)

Hopefully the last time for a while that I do a price check.

My friend who rescues snakes gave me a beautiful yearling sunglow boa (female):

The boa is a bit thin and has some scale rot but otherwise seems to be fine.

My friend is interested in my 650 gram black pastel ball python (female):

I want to work out a fair trade.

I'm not sure what your asking.
You want to know if the sunglow for a black pastel is even?

There is not even a snowballs chance in hell I would ever trade a black pastel for any boa. I was just offered 6 baby burms 100% het greens for my male black pastel and I said no before he even had the period in the sentence..lol

Sorry, full story is over in the boa section. I guess all I really wanted to ask is how much the black pastel female is worth, LOL.

Huge difference in Burms and boas, apples and oranges, and it will not be an even trade. I wouldnt let her trade even anymore than she wants to take that Boa for free like I wanted her to We are both very happy and if the price is too much for the Black Pastel, the fair market price, then no harm no foul. I am just glad it was one less to worry about, with someone with lots of Boa experience, and that LOVES them and her I will jut work on the other 12 in this group, getting them cleaned up and fed ASAP.

A black pastel around that size... Id say around $350 at the top end. Maybe closer to $300 on the lower end...

And I would prefer the sunglow any day of the week. See how much personal opinion varies in the snake world.

Ya'll are too funny. I think this is why the deal works so well for both she and I. I did not want the boa, knew from the beginning I was not going to keep her and knew they were all going to be in bad shape. So, it made sense to give her to someone within minutes of me getting the group that would do anything she needed to get her healthy. Now, I have never seen in person a Boa of that color, never seen anything other than a normal. So, when I saw her my jaw dropped a little bit she was so pretty. I am grateful she was in better shape then the BPs, meaning she was a better weight! From what I can tell, the pastel is worth more than the boa, but they are close, IF the boa continues to improve. I think waiting 2 weeks so that I am more sure of her continued improvement would make me feel better
